(WASHINGTON, D.C., June 16, 2000) – GalleryWatch.com, Washington D.C.’s newest online legislative and agency tracking and information service, announces the addition of George Krumbhaar to its staff through the acquisition of usbudget.com. Mr. Krumbhaar, founder and managing editor of usbudget.com, will continue to serve as Managing Editor of the appropriations research tool that now becomes a part of the ever-expanding services offered by GalleryWatch.com.
“George is an 18-year veteran of Capitol Hill,” said GalleryWatch.com President Brent Golemon, “and his experience in budget and appropriations issues is unparalleled. Mr. Krumbhaar served nearly two decades on Capitol Hill, having worked on budget and appropriations issues as Minority Counsel to the Joint Economic Committee, as Director of Domestic Policy for Sen. John Glenn (D-Ohio) and as Chief of Staff for U.S. Rep. Bill Orton (D- Utah). While Rep. Orton’s Staff Director, he also served as Associate Staff Member of the House Budget Committee. In the private sector, he directed congressional affairs for a health care trade association and was managing editor of a government relations newsletter.
Mr. Krumbhaar said he founded usbudget.com (originally called Budget and Appropriations Update) in 1966 as “the research tool I wish I had during all those years on the Hill and in government relations.”
