GalleryWatch.com™ Unveils New U.S. Budget and Appropriations Products
Federal products cover the legislative processes behind the $2.2 Trillion budget


AUSTIN, TEXAS, and WASHINGTON, DC, February 18, 2003 – GalleryWatch.com™, a leading provider of real-time tools and applications for monitoring the federal and Texas legislative, regulatory, and appropriations processes, has released USBudget® News, a daily electronic bulletin available via e-mail distribution or web access. Available by subscription, USBudget News joins GalleryWatch’s recently enhanced USBudget service, which features line-item detail on all 13 appropriations bills as well as supplementals and related measures.

USBudget News, published daily when Congress is in session, offers original articles and analysis concerning budget and appropriations developments based on interviews with official sources including Members of Congress and their staffs. The service provides essential and timely information for tracking how the budget and appropriations process works, and illustrates how Congress is funding the full range of federal programs. Also included with the service are “Tax Trot,” a daily collection of tax bills introduced in Congress, and “Federal Register Watch,” an advance notice of grant opportunities provided to subscribers prior to their publication in the Federal Register.

USBudget News’ editorial team is headed by budget expert George Krumbhaar, a graduate of Harvard University and Columbia Law School, who has more than eighteen years in budget-related senior staff positions on Capitol Hill, and Scott Cox, who previously served as the Manager of House & Senate Operations at GalleryWatch.

GalleryWatch’s USBudget service includes USBudget News and also provides line-item detail on more than 2,500 federal spending programs covered by the 13 appropriations bills, a progress chart for all appropriations bills, a legislative section offering access to the 13 appropriations bills, and legislation including the Budget Resolution and Emergency Supplementals.
