February 22, 2000 - McAvoy and Gurnee Join the GalleryWatch.com Team
(Washington, D.C., February 22, 2000) -- Effective February 14, 2000, Elisabeth (Lisa) McAvoy and Eryn Gurnee have joined the growing staff at GalleryWatch.com, Washington, D.C.’s newest online legislative and agency tracking service.
Ms. McAvoy joins the GalleryWatch.com team as a Senior Account Manager after working for Pontecchio, a relations management systems company, where she served as Director of Special Projects.
Prior to that, she worked for Legi-Slate, a Washington, D.C. company that provided Congressional data and analysis. While at Legi-Slate, Ms. McAvoy performed a variety of account management and client support duties. She spent four years as a senior account manager, managing a client base in excess of $1.2 million, before becoming a manager of support quality, where her client base had the highest renewal rate in the company.
While at Legi-Slate, Lisa received the company’s Employee of the Year award in recognition of her outstanding work with clients and staff alike. Reflecting on her new employment, Ms. McAvoy stated that "because GalleryWatch.com is such a forward thinking company that infuses energy and vision, I am excited to be a part of its future."
Ms. Gurnee joins GalleryWatch.com as an Account Manager after spending two years at The National Mining Association (NMA). As the International Trade Coordinator at NMA, Eryn managed projects within several areas including member communications, research, and policy analysis.
Prior to joining the NMA, she followed legislative issues at The Association of National Advertisers. When asked how she found herself working in a high-tech company, Ms. Gurnee stated "I have watched the technology sector explode over the last several years. With a legislative and association background, I did not think I had the right skills. But, GalleryWatch.com is an Internet company geared towards legislative professionals a perfect fit!"
